Be Clear From The Start

One of the biggest causes of conflicts between landlords and tenants is the lack of clear communication. If you hope to attract great tenants, then you need to make your expectations clear from the very beginning. That means outlining the terms of the lease in crystal care language. Make sure the rent amount is clear and also the due dates. 

Go over any pet policies you have and any responsibilities that your tenant will have for maintaining their property. Not only should these roles be verbally covered, but also written down in a formal lease agreement. The clearer you can set your boundaries and expectations from the beginning, the more sure you can be that your tenants know what’s expected of them.

Market In The Right Places

Not all of your ideal tenants will be lurking in the same places. Attracting the right kind of client will require you to market in places where they’re likely to be looking. Choose a well-respected real estate website, or local classifieds rather than social media or putting up posters. 

Highlight all of the unique selling points, and try to appeal to your ideal kind of renter as much as possible. Marketing is your best friend when it comes to trying to attract your ideal tenant!
