Moving Veterans Day Memorials Around the World

On Tuesday, people across the globe commemorated Veterans Day with special memorials and celebrations. Vice President Joe Biden participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, while people in the UK held a two-minute silence at the Lloyd’s of London building to honor those whose lives were lost in times of war. Meanwhile, the last of 888,246 ceramic poppies were planted at the Tower of London for Armistice Day, representing each of the British and Colonial soldiers killed in WWI. See all that and more in these touching pictures of Veterans Day events around the world.
