I know you’re probably thinking, what is this person crazy, How would they know a better way to sleep for us? It’s pretty simple. I’ve tried this item and am putting it out there for everyone else to see what it’s like.
Now, I’m not talking about any normal mattress here. No, I am talking about the BedStory Lavender Memory Foam Mattress. You haven’t slept on heaven until you’ve tried this thing. It has four layers inside the mattress itself. It’s got 2.5 inches of pure memory foam in one of the layers as well as 7 inches of air-circulation foams. the last layers is 2.5 inches high-density support foam. Plus, it’s lavender infused.
You can’t go wrong there. Oh, I didn’t even get to the best part yet. When you buy this yourself, you get a 10-year warranty. When it’s shipped it will arrive in a box. I know that it’s strange but nonetheless it still feels great. In the box you’ll have the mattress as well as setup instructions. Don’t worry the mattress is in one piece, It’s just explaining how to take it out carefully and then set it on the bed. It helps with positioning and best ways to get your full use of it. The mattress is also free from any harmful chemicals in it’s making. As well as the company claims to be very eco-friendly. The mattress’s knit cover is a non-woven fabric that stretches and conforms easily so as to not interfere with the feeling of the memory foam. It’s also hypoallergenic and designed to be breathable.
How much can anyone say about the design and technique of any mattress. I can say that BedStory has done a great job when it comes to making the bed visually appealing as well as comfortable. The attention to the detail in the stitches with the BedStory logo at the foot of the bed is truly impressive.
They even added a gold trim to it as well. Do remember that this mattress is purely foam. There’s no springs or boards anywhere. Due to that fact it will be a bit heavier and move around more when you have it standing up to place it.
I know out there that our essential oil people would be pleased about the fact that it’s infused with lavender. It works wonders and helps you fall asleep easier than normal. I have a history with sleep issues. This bed is one of the first things that I’ve found that has helped me so much. The scent is so subtle that you can’t notice it unless you’re specifically looking for it. They didn’t have to or need to go so far on the pleasing to the eyes design since most people will end up using sheets anyways. The point is that they did it for the customers. They wanted to give you the choice. If you don’t have sheets the lavender effects you much more quickly. Either way that you go about it, you’ll still fall asleep easier with this mattress.
This mattress is certainly very unique to other mattresses. It’s advertised as being a good compromise between a firm and a soft mattress. However, to me it feels more on the firm side. The firmer the mattress the better for the back and stomach sleepers. It could also be a great fit for the people who avoid memory foam mattresses because they are too soft. This would be the perfect match for you. There is another difference between this mattress and others out there. Normal memory foam mattresses are supposed to mold into the shape of the person on them before going back to normal when they move.
Mattresses all seem to have different amount of times that they seems to do this. This mattress is different because it rebounds slowly. By slowly I mean very slowly. Your imprint will stay in the mattress for more than 5 seconds before it disappears again. That’s an incredibly long time for memory foam, in my experience.
This mattress has excellent edge support. Like most other memory foams, there is no “edge” to the mattress created by a separate material. It’s the same memory foam all over the mattress. I like to sleep near the bed sometimes and unlike most other memory foam mattress I’m able to do so with this one. There’s no excessive sagging or any other issue when you get close to the bed. It stays as firm as it does when you’re standing next to it. There’s no issues with motion transfer with this mattress. I had a friend stay the night and I toss and turn like crazy. He didn’t even feel any of it. He told me the next morning that he didn’t even notice me moving around this time.
You know that smell that you get when you newly open something from plastic? Almost smells like something dewy or gas. Well, you don’t get that when you open this mattress. It certainly makes this one unique, that’s for sure. The lavender oils smell is strong enough to overpower those smells when you first open it. After it airs out for a couple days the lavender is not as strong but just as powerful.

As well as all kinds of other sleepers. All the foams used for the mattresses are CertiPUR-Us Certified. eco-friendly and durable. The mattress meets the CFR1633 Standard which means itself is hard to burn. Therefore it’s much safer to use. It’s designed for maximum comfort. Now, the setup is pretty simple in itself. You mainly just pull it out and take it out of the plastic. Once you’ve done so, that’s where it gets a bit more difficult. I suggest to have another person in the room to help if needed. You will probably end up needing the help. We pulled the mattress from the box in the living room. Leaving it in the plastic for now, we carried it to the bedroom. It’s easier to place the rolled up mattress on the bed frame you intend it to be on. Once you have it in place you can start to cut the first layer of plastic of that’s holding it in place. When that’s done you can unroll the mattress in it’s shrink plastic. It’s much easier to place the mattress exactly where you want it when it’s still in this package. When you have it in place very carefully cut the compression wrapping and the mattress will start to grow out, It’s best to do this in the morning so that you have a head start on it. BedStory says that the mattress can and probably will take anywhere between 48-72 hours to fully expand. They were right, that’s for sure. It took my mattress around the 65 hour mark to be finished. This does not mean that you can’t sleep on it. On the contrary, you can sleep on it right after if you’d like. The only thing is that you won’t get the most comfort possible with this mattress until it is finished expanding. In the end, the setup was really simple. It’s just easier to have a helping hand. Especially if something goes wrong. Also, planning where exactly you want to place the mattress and how before you open it is almost crucial. It definitely helps to move things along easier.
This isn’t my first foam mattress and it probably won’t be my last. Nonetheless, that being said this is the most comfortable mattress that I’ve ever had. If you’ve never had a memory foam mattress it’s like being cradled in a loving mother’s arms. If you have, well you know exactly what I’m talking about. My old memory foam mattress did a pretty good job at comforting to all my curves, but the BedStory Lavender mattress was the best decision I could have ever made when it comes to mattresses. The bed doesn’t get hot on you in the middle of the night due to the Air-Circulation part of the mattress. The only true downside is having to leaving the bed when you wake up.
Luckily for me, at the time BedStory was giving away some of their luxury pillows along with this mattress. Which you can get on amazon for $29.99 for a two-pack. I wasn’t expecting it but am grateful for the pillows nonetheless. They are easily the best pillows that I’ve ever used before. The pillows are a great match for the bed. I suggest that if you get one then you might want to get the other. Overall, the mattress is extremely comfortable. Of course, this is one person’s opinion as everyone has a difference in opinion, People have different thoughts on what they consider comfortable. I certainly think that this mattress would make most people happy. If you haven’t tried a memory foam mattress before and are wanting to, this is the best option.

Steps for unpacking: For shipment concern, the mattress is compressed, rolled and vacuum sealed in a single box. These are some tips to unbox your mattress.
+Lay the box on it’s side and then remove the mattress from the box.
+Cut the cover bag carefully with scissors. (Do not use a knife do to potential damage)
+Roll out the compressed mattress on to a clean, flat surface, zipper the side down.
+Carefully cut open the plastic bag along the edges. The mattress instantly begins to decompress. Remove the bag.
+Allow bed to fully recover before adding any bed linens. Can take up to 72 hours to fully expand.

My thanks to the seller on the follow-up e-mail about my question, the company is awesome, I bought the full-size mattress and it arrived quickly after I placed the order and was in perfect condition! I felt compelled to come back and leave a genuine review to share others as this product is a great mattress and you should really get it. The mattress was incredibly easy to handle and came rolled up in a box, I unrolled the mattress, laid it as flat as possible, and opened the hermetically (vacuum) sealed plastic.
This mattress expanded to 12 inches height within 5 minutes, it was so fun and amazing to see.The instructions said to open, lay the mattress out and it would take up to 24-48 hours for it to open up to its full size, so I wait 2 days. The mattress itself is so amazingly comfortable. I did not experience any chemical smell at all. I can confirm that my experience has been pleasant regarding smell, look, feel and sleep. The combination of memory foam and air-circulation foam layer make this a perfect combination and the support is amazing. It also gives superior pressure point relief. This is my first memory foam mattress, I always had an $800 spring mattress is not as comfortable as this and to be honest it took me a minute to get used to the change, and is the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever laid on.
